The introductory User Board meeting, which took place 18 January 2022 online, enabled the project to reach its first milestone – the establishment of SCIRT thematic sub-groups and the commitment of stakeholders.
In total, 31 stakeholders from the textile-to-textile value chain and project partners including VITO, Xandres, TU Wien, Ffact, circular.fashion and DC Flanders attended the meeting. Out of them, 27 participants and 11 project partners committed themselves to become part of future SCIRT User Boards, to discuss various aspects of circular fashion in these four thematic sub-groups:
- Business models
- Circular design
- Regulations
- Waste collection and sorting
The first physical User Board meeting will take place 11-12 May in Vienna.
